Be sure to read this page, lots of new stuff. Wow! It has been busy! The new shop has now been opened for a while in Glendora California. Great location: 146 N. Glendora Ave. If you are in the area please stop in. (626) 914 4100. We have been doing live music every Saturday morning 8:00 am to 10:00 am by local professional musicians. Every type of music from singer - songwriter to bluegrass, to Blues, to you name it. Some big names have stopped by to have a little fun with us too.

We have made so many friends since opening this shop. One of the ideas we had was to make it like home here, lots of overstuffed chairs and leather sofas. The plan was to make it comfortable for musicians to come and hang out, and they do. On any given day you can stop by and meet really big music stars from the past or present day. Some of the regulars are members of the Beach Boys, members of the WE FIVE, members of the surf band the Surfaris and many, many others who feel welcome to just hang out here.

We closed the shop a while back and Mona and I took a trip to Cabo San Lucas to spend the weekend as guest of the Beach Boys. They did two concerts and treated us like we were members of the band. Stayed in the green room with them before and after the show and on Sat. show they invited me up on stage for the thrill of my life to play with them.

(I was told later that my mic was not even turned on.) It was still one of the most exciting things that could ever happen to a music person like myself.

Richard Hoover, founder of Santa Cruz Guitar Company, spent the day with us. He gave a wonderful information filled talk to a packed house about the history of boutique guitars and the history of his company. Very in depth conversation about the woods used in the building of a Santa Cruz Guitar. Really interesting insights into tap tuning the woods used on the guitar tops. Fender guitar just announced that they are moving the Guild plant to the production facility of USA Ovation and re-locating the Ovation plant to Korea. That means no more USA Ovations. While there is still some inventory at their USA facility, these will be the last of the USA Ovations. They also announced a price reduction to reflect the savings they will have by building offshore. These price reductions will also be reflected in the current inventory of USA Ovations. Jeff Huss visited our shop recently. While here was able to attend one of our concerts featuring Steve Young. He was able to sing along with Steve, being himself a big fan. After the show they got to talking about guitars and before Steve left for home he purchased a new Huss & Dalton DS Model.
